Popcorn Capacity

In Maths we are learning about Capacity. We used popcorn to find out the capacity of a glass. First we guessed how many spoonfuls of popcorn kernels it took to fill the cup. I guessed 12 but it actually took 20 spoonfuls. Next we popped the corn on the oven. We had to guess how much popped corn filed the cup. I guessed 5. The capacity of the popped corn in the cup was 12 spoonfuls.

If I were  able to make a new PARALYMPICS game I would make it fun for everyone to play. The game is called, 'The Bear Game'.

How you play: 
 You have a person dressed up as a bear.  They need to act like a REAL bear! 
The players need to try and get past the fake bear.

The rules:
1. You can not get a gun and shoot the bear. If you did, your outta the game and you would of killed the person inside of the suit! 
2. You can't cheat!
3.You need to have... FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

capacity and volume

We have been learning about Capacity and Volume. Capacity is how much the container can hold. Volume is how much is in that container at the time. We filled different containers with rice and water.

         Imagine that you were asked to compete in a tandem cycling event and you had to choose one person to compete with.

If I were to choose I would take Laura Thomson because she is a great roll model and that is why I would choose her if I ever got to choose

entertaining the crowd

Imagine that you are sitting in the crowd at the opening ceremonies for the Rio Olympics this August. The ceremony has just started and all of the Olympic athletes are parading around the stadium in their uniforms when all of a sudden… there is a huge BANG outside and then the lights when off then when the light came back on the athletes were... GONE everyone was so SCARED. Then the lights went off again the they came back on and the athletes were back apparently they never left they went to see the big BANG. It was a lightning bolt but nothing was broken nor not one person was hurt. I was screaming my HEAD off because i was WAY to scared and i hid in my mums jacket and when the athletes were back i was crying in relief. Then everything was fine better than ANYTHING and everyone was singing the anthem of NZ. Then the host came out and the host is the... PRIMINISTER. Then the PRIMINISTER said CALM DOWN PEOPLE IT IS NOW OVER he shouted. so everyone left then i wen t back home with my mum and dad. The athletes picked me up an SQUEEZED me so tight and they tried to kiss my mum on the cheek.
